College and university undergraduate students in any field of study are welcome to apply. Must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa. Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university. Must be 18 years or older.

To apply, students must submit a 1000-word essay to [email protected] along with their full name, the college or university they are attending, and a phone number where they can be reached. Applicants must also provide official enrollment verification from their college or university, typically obtained through the registrar’s office, and emailed to [email protected]
Disposable nitrile gloves, latex gloves, and vinyl gloves are a common sight in various sectors, including healthcare, food service, industrial, automotive, manufacturing, and cleaning, playing a crucial role in maintaining hygiene and preventing the spread of infections. Reflect on the importance of disposable gloves in public health and safety. Discuss how their use has impacted practices in a specific industry of your choice or how they have become more significant during public health emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. What are the environmental considerations related to the use of disposable gloves, and how can these challenges be addressed? In your essay, consider how innovation or changes in public policy could enhance the benefits of disposable gloves while mitigating any negative impacts.
The UniSafe Gloves scholarship provides a one-time award of $1000 to pay for tuition, books, computers, room, and board, or any education-related expense. Selected winners are granted a one-time scholarship and may not reapply. Students who are not selected may apply again for future semesters.
One winner will be selected by the UniSafe Gloves Scholarship Committee. The committee will announce the winner of the scholarship no more than two weeks after the submission deadline. The winner will be notified via email or phone. If the winner does not respond within a reasonable amount of time, the committee will extend the offer to the next runner-up.
